I haven’t participated in a reading challenge in ages. I did participate in last year’s Once Upon a Time challenge, and finished it by reading five fantasy and mythology books. Why not participate again this year? I’m taking up the same challenge- Once Upon a Time VI quest the first- to read five books from any of the categories included in the challenge (Fantasy, Folklore, Fairy tale, and Mythology). I thought about doing one of the other challenges, but I have so many fantasy books on my kindle that it seems most reasonable to just try and get through them! I have until June 20.
My tentative plans are to read the following books, but I reserve the right to change my mind!
Scott Lynch – The Lies of Locke Lamora
Joe Abercrombie- The Blade Itself
Elizabeth Moon – The Deed of Paksnarrion
Patrick Rothfuss – The Name of the Wind
China Mieville – Perdido Street Station
Oh- and do you remember what I read last year? I completely forgot that I was going through my Greek Gods in America stage, in the middle of re-reading the Martin books…
1: A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin (fantasy)
2: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (mythology)
3: Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan (mythology)
4: The Atlantis Complex by Eion Colfer (fantasy)
5: A Clash of Kings, George RR Martin (fantasy)
